Mariner’s Chief Architect Contributes to Two Popular Business Intelligence and Data Management Publications

June 9, 2009 – Charlotte, NC – Noted SQL Server expert, speaker and author, John Welch, has recently contributed to two publications written specifically for developers and administrators using Microsoft SQL Server 2008. The two books have been published and are available through Amazon.com.

John is co-author of “Smart Business Intelligence Solutions with Microsoft SQL Server 2008,” using his deep SQL Server and Business Intelligence knowledge to share best practices and provide a technical review for the completed work. The publication features practical, end-to-end guidance on how to envision, plan, develop, test and deploy a complete SQL Server 2008-based Business Intelligence solution.

John also contributed to “Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Management and Administration,” a comprehensive, fast-paced, task-based reference publication, providing the information needed to deploy, manage, and secure Microsoft SQL Server 2008. John’s section focused on the specific activities SQL Server administrators need to properly use Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
