October 28, 2009 – Charlotte, NC – Noted SQL Server expert, speaker and author, John Welch, has recently collaborated with 52 other Microsoft MVPs (Most Valuable Professionals) to produce a collective treatise entitled “SQL Server MVP Deep Dives.” The book shares the technical brain trust of an accomplished group of MVPs who reveal their own perspectives on SQL Server implementations.
“SQL Server MVP Deep Dives” was created with a dual purpose. The subject matter is, on the surface, the key contributing factor that gives this book significant value. However, the 53 SQL Server MVPs who joined forces to provide their peers with tremendous technical knowledge are also using their project as a vehicle to help children who suffer as the result of war. By partnering with WarChild International, a network of independent organizations working across the world to help children affected by war, the authors will be able to use their book’s proceeds to change lives. In fact, the authors are donating 100% of their royalties to WarChild.
“Each of the collaboration partners in this effort wanted to do something meaningful with the book proceeds that would make a real difference in someone’s quality of life. WarChild surfaced as a cause to which we all could identify in some way. We’re excited to be part of a project with such implications and hope it will be supported,” John explains.
WarChild International was founded upon a fundamental goal: to advance the cause of peace through investing hope in the lives of children caught up in the horrors of war. Visit www.warchild.org to learn more.
